TALENT PLAYGROUND 2026-2027: over €120,000 in funds to develop talent in Ferrara

New energy, new resources, and a clear goal: to make Ferrara increasingly attractive to young professionals and researchers.

The Municipality of Ferrara is relaunching the Ferrara Talent Playground project with regional funding of over €120,000, thanks to the support of the Emilia-Romagna region. A concrete investment to transform the city into a point of reference for those who want to build their future here.

🎯 The goal: to attract, welcome, retain

Following the success of the first edition, which involved around 300 talents from all over Italy, the goal is now to take a step further: not only to attract, but to create the conditions for the talents to remain, along with their families.

Deputy Mayor Alessandro Balboni and Councilor for Youth Policies Chiara Scaramagli presented the new program, emphasizing how investing in talent means investing directly in the city’s competitiveness and vitality.

Also attending the conference were Paolo Govoni, president of Sipro Ferrara and vice president of the Ferrara-Ravenna Chamber of Commerce, Gabriele Marzano, project coordinator for Emilia-Romagna, and Marco Rizzo of Open Lab.

🧭 The heart of the project: concrete services and territorial network

The engine of the new edition will be the Talent Point, a one-stop shop managed by Open Lab, which will offer:

  • reception and personalized guidance
  • job placement support
  • multilingual digital tools and a dedicated Welcome Kit
  • practical information for living and working in the city
  • networking and thematic events

Among the new features is a new Welfare Card, developed in collaboration with the Ferrara-Ravenna Chamber of Commerce, which will offer concrete benefits and opportunities to the talent involved in exchange for active citizenship and/or inclusion in participating companies.

💡 A strategy for the future of the city

The municipality of Ferrara thus strengthens its innovation ecosystem, placing quality services, professional connections, and real growth opportunities at its heart.

It’s not just a project. It’s a strategy to transform Ferrara into a city where talent is not just passing through, but remains, grows, and creates value.
